You can send score reports to up to 4 institutions for free if you select them before or on your test date. Additional score reports cost $20 each.
TOEFL score validity: how long are scores valid?
TOEFL scores are valid for 2 years from the date of the test. After 2 years, your scores expire and are no longer available in the ETS system — they cannot be sent to institutions or retrieved.
Plan carefully: If you take the TOEFL in January 2026, your score expires in January 2028. Make sure your test date aligns with your application timeline — if you are applying for Fall 2027, a test taken in early 2025 may have already expired by the time admissions officers review your application.
