Spring 2026 Intake: A Complete Guide for Nepali Students

Whether you’re a recent high school graduate aiming for an undergraduate degree or a Bachelor’s graduate preparing for your master’s, the Spring semester—starting in January 2026—gives you a flexible, timely way to begin your academic journey in the United States without waiting an entire year. While Fall intake which starts on August, generally, is the main admission period, you can still start your US education journey from the Spring semester which starts in January.
Here’s a complete guide from Edwise Foundation to help you plan ahead.
Who is Spring Intake for?
Undergraduate Applicants can consider spring intake if you’re completing your +2 exams in 2025 and results come out by August. You can avoid the long wait until Fall 2026 (next August). If you feel ready to begin college right after your results, this will be a good time to start your program. Similarly, Graduate Applicants who have recently finished or are close to completing your Bachelor’s degree can consider this intake.
Why Choose Spring Intake?
While Fall is traditionally more popular, Spring intake comes with its own benefits:
- Faster start: You don’t need to wait until the next Fall intake to begin.
- Less competition: Admissions are slightly less competitive for many programs.
Scholarship tip: Spring scholarships are available but usually merit-based only while the most generous scholarships are offered in Fall only.
