The SAT is a standardised test owned and developed by the College Board for undergraduate admissions in the US universities. The SAT gives an idea of how much have you learned from your high school and how well prepared are you for your higher education.

Often, students view the SAT as a requirement only for receiving scholarships. However, they miss the fact that the SAT is principally a requirement for admissions into good universities. So, even if you are not looking for scholarships, you are highly recommended to take the test since it is an admission requirement for most of the good schools.

The SAT has gone DIGITAL since Spring 2023.

The Digital SAT exam is computer adaptive.  It means it is customized to your performance. If you do better on the first section, you will get harder questions for the second.

The Digital SAT is shorter as it has shorter reading passages and more direct questions.  Calculator use is expanded, and you can bring your own.

What is MST- Multistage adaptive testing methodology?

Each section (Reading and Writing; Math) is divided into two equal-length and separately timed stages, each composed of a module/set of questions. The first module consists of a broad mix of easy, medium, and hard questions. Now, depending on how the student performs in the first module, the questions in the second module are of either higher or lower difficulty level than those of the first module. Here, the test “adapts” to present questions more suitable to a student’s performance level.

The Digital SAT is composed of two sections (Reading and Writing and Math) and utilizes adaptive testing methodology.
